Seps' Saxophone Experience
Hi there!

I'm Seps. If you're like me, music plays a big role in your life, and undoubtedly will play a big role in any major event you plan. It's one of my core beliefs that music isn't just pleasant sound, it's a language... and further than that, the most expressive and evocative language our species has created. Taken at face value, one might assume that the purpose of a wedding musician is to play songs. But for one of the most emotion-filled and impactful days of your entire life, you need someone who does a lot more than that! With over a decade of experience playing improvised music to audiences of all kinds, I've learned how to condense emotion into sound in a way that everyone can understand. My passion for doing this is what allows me to connect with you and your guests on the deepest level, and guide the energy of your big day from a tear-jerking ceremony to an epic dance floor! I pride myself on never playing a song the same way twice, as the notes I play are a culmination of the personalities of you and your guests, and all the special moments we share. The result? An experience like no one there has ever had, and one that will be remembered for the rest of your lives.

My Story

I started playing the saxophone at the age of 10. I always saw it as the "cool" instrument, so it was the obvious choice when I joined the school band. I enjoyed it from the very start, but it wasn't until I learned to improvise that it became the center of my life. I became infatuated with music that was made in the moment, from jazz to the Grateful Dead. By the time I started highschool, I was spending my free time jamming with my friends, spontaneously making up melodies that just felt right, and performing for an audience every chance I got. Whether it was in the school quad, my friend's garage, or in between marching band rehearsals, I was constantly improvising. Relentlessly. I would go on to audition for the Chapman University Big Band, and this passion I'd been developing got me a first chair seat. During my college days, when I needed a little extra cash, I would go to the local plaza and play for tips (pictured). One rough month when I was short on rent, I actually made up the difference doing this! Ironically, performing became my safety net—I could always fall back on it if I needed. Then the pandemic hit, I was laid off, and that was when my performance business was born. I realized that my passion could be a real career, and I never looked back!

Let's break the ice!

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to create new things that leave an impact on people. Everything I do in my daily life is centered around this goal... from producing original music in my free time, to earning a bachelor's in computer science so I could create unique online experiences like this one. Once I have an idea in my head, and I believe it can make a difference in this world, nothing can stop me from making it a reality. Every wedding and event I take on is a new canvas for me to paint on, and nothing thrills me more than a new opportunity to create an experience that no one has ever had. So if you're feeling ambitious, let's get in touch! I can't wait to find out what we can create together.
